Banning State Park

There is nothing more beautiful that a Minnesota hike in the snow.
Any season in Minnesota is a beautiful time to hike.
Spring is full of fresh growth, budding trees and the reawakening of life
Summer is lush and green,
Fall is full of crisp days, vibrant colors and crunching leaves,
and Winter is full of raw black and white beauty with fluffy snow making everything new and 'fresh'.

Winter hiking is my favorite.

  1. Over the past 12 years of living here, I've slowly grown to love and appreciate what Minnesota has to offer...the Winter season being the toughest to accept. I figured out the only way to enjoy it, is to get out in it.

These pictures are lovely. Maybe one day I'll have the courage to fight off the cold and hike in the Winter...for now I'll just take the dog for a walk around the block ;)

    1. Ha! You are so right that you have to just get out and enjoy it. Layers, layers, layers and cute winter wear are the way to do it!

    1. Thank you Melissa! I am not always a fan of the cold but winter seems to be one of my favorite seasons to explore and experience Minnesota - funny how it works!
