Washington Day One .. Continued

{Day One}
Idaho: Coeur d' Alalne
The first place we headed to was Coeur d' Alaine Idaho, home of a beautiful lake, Mudgy the Moose, and Tubs Hill.

Everyone's thought is to climb on a big fake moose when they see it right?

Washington: Spokane
Back in Spokane we got Gelato in the evening at Ferrante

River Front Park, Spokane
Our last adventure and sightseeing of the day took us to River Front Park in Spokane. Riverfront park reminds Spokane of it's place in history. Havermale Island houses the Pavilion from the World's Fair and the clock tower that was originally part of the Great Northern Railroad Depot. In 1877 Havermale Island was a stonghold during a battle with the Nez Perce Indians.

There is also Crystal Island, renamed Canada Island after the World's Fair when Canadian Indians were invited to participate in the 74 Expo. Two totem poles still stand that were built during the expo.

The evening ended perfectly girl talk, wine, frozen pizza and the promises of many more wonderful days ahead. I don't think it could get any better than that.
